My buddy and I went here a day after the first big storm of the year. It used to be that if you knew where to look, you could find powder stashes 4 days after a storm. Not the case anymore with the new high speed lift. It was also a bit more crowded for a mid-week day than it used to be. We still had a good time, but the powder stashes were harder to come by. It will only become harder since Alpine bought it and there are plans for a second high speed lift in the next couple years to replace the Ellis Chair.
That said, it is still very good for beginners and intermediates. My oldest son (11) loves the place.

this place was great. we got 17" the night before i went so needless to say, it was awesome. i am no expert, but far more advanced than intermediate and was entertained all day. the tree skiing was awesome as there was powder to be found all day long. i spent half a day on one run essentially, shooting through different tree lines in powder above my knees. its no utah fluff, but it was still great. terrain is not super steep, but the great snow made for one fun day. and the VIEWS were the best of the 5 resorts we rode in tahoe. there was plenty of freeriding to be had. resort is much much bigger than the trail will lead you to believe. i went twice while i was in tahoe......
