Rossignol Race Center
We are Upstate New York's Rossignol Race Center. The Sports Page is one of 50 shops in the country that carry Rossi race stock equipment and accessories. We have the race stock GS skis, the race stock slalom skis, and the FKS race stock bindings. Come see us at The Sports Page and we can find the right ski or boot for any level racer. Our trained staff can also provide you with the knowledge you need to succeed on the slopes.

We are also a Fischer Race Center. We have race room Fischer skis available in stock, and the race room Fischer bindings as well.

Ski and Snowboard Tuning at The Sports Page
We offer excellent service for your snow sports equipment. Our excellent Wintersteiger equipment and well trained staff guarantee that we will treat your skis or board like our own.

-Ceramic disc edging on all of our tunes for a longer lasting, more consistent finish
-Race quality stone grinds applied to our full tune
-Hand finished race tunes available
-All skis waxed using quality Swix products, not "bulk" waxes as found elsewhere

Bootfitting at The Sports Page ski shop
The Sports Page employs several Race Center trained bootfitting professionals. We can provide you with the full service boot work you need and deserve. Many people ski in uncomfortable boots for years, when a single punch or grind could easily make the boot comfortable. Other people ski for years in boots that are a shell size or more too large, preventing themselves from advancing as skiers. We carry a wide variety of ski boots from Atomic, Dalbello, Salomon, Nordica, Tecnica, Lange, Rossignol, and more.

The Sports Pages's Selections

Alpine Ski Equipment
Every year the ski industry produces more than five hundred different skis. You, the customer, can't possibly test each of the available options. We have to do it for you. Its tough work skiing on all of next year's skis, but we do it with vigor. From the hundreds of skis available, we must select over one hundred models.

Trimming the list can be quite difficult. We carry skis from every major brand, and there are very few "bad" skis these days. Our ski wall stretches for sixty feet, so there is certainly an ample selection.

Each spring we assess next year's skis, boots, and bindings. Our entire ski staff skis everything available. A series of meetings are conducted during which we discuss what is hot...and what is not. The process ends when the best skis at the best prices are put on our wall.

The process described above is the simple part. Everyone makes good skis, and as much as we'd like to think we are rocket-scientists...its not a bad job testing and selecting skis.

Park and Pipe
These are skis with a unique purpose. They all have twin tips for riding switch. Many of them are also mounted further forward, to help you spin faster and land switch better. Some of the park specific skis have rounded edges for rail use. While some of these skis are very focused on the park, some are actually incredible all mountain rides as well.

Big Mountain (Gnar' Droppers):
It may seem odd for a shop in Upstate NY to sell skis built for big mountains. If you need a ski to take to Utah: a ski to rock the woods at Jay Peak...these are the skis for you. Modern materials technology and designs allow these fat skis to tenaciously grip the firmest "loud powder" you'll find at Whiteface. Many of these skis stay stable and confident even at Super G speed on the hard stuff.

Go Anywhere, Do Anything (aka: Midfats):
With a middle of the road width, these boards fall between the "big mountain" skis and the groomed carvers and race rides. They are narrow enough to be agile and generate tremendous edge grip, yet they are wide enough to make your forays into the woods much more enjoyable. Boards like these generally ski well in the bumps, and even in deep snow. A few have a tremendous amount of shape, and can be skied like slalom weapons.

Race:
The name says it all. Most manufacturers have two or three "levels" of race skis. The World Cup level skis are precise, powerful, and generally unforgiving. The consumer race skis range from mild GS carvers to wild "illegal" slalom weapons. The "illegal" GS skis are enormously competent and powerful, yet more fun to ski on than FIS legal 21m World Cup level skis. The short slalom weapons are the best choice for the skiers looking for a real workout.

Aspirational Carver:
These skis have gotten more and more shape in the last few years. If you want to be able to make cleaner turns with less effort and rid yourself of technique issues, check these skis out. These boards are the best choice for skiers that spend lots of time on blue and green groomers.

High Perfomance Carver:
Pick a pair of these boards up, and you'll find they are a step up in both the methods and materials of construction. They are fun to use on the blue and green groomers, but have the damping and edge grip to hang it all out on the steep blacks and double blacks.
