See your child grow and develop in this early childhood experience under the watchful eye and commitment to excellence of the Deer Valley Academy. The Deer Valley Academy is a year-round, state-licensed child care and pre-school program providing creative and educational care of children in the following age groups: Infant Care (two to 12 months old); Toddler Care (1-2 years); and, Pre-school (3-4 years). The Academy observes the Park City public school calendar and during its inaugural year is offered in two semesters—the first semester from September 5 through December 20, 2006; and the second from January 3 through June 8, 2007. The day and time options for the program are as follows:

Five days: Monday through Friday
Three days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Two days: Tuesday, Thursday

Hour Options
Extended Care Full Day: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Full Day: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Morning Half Day: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Half Day: 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

The Academy program follows the Exceed Pre-school Curriculum, which provides a balanced blend to support each child's individual development and love of learning. The theme-based curriculum allows children an opportunity to explore language, math, science, culture, music and art in developmentally-appropriate environments. Following guidelines set by the Utah State Office of Education, children will participate in creative learning experiences to enhance their social/emotional, language/literacy, cognitive, aesthetic and physical skills. Pre-school curriculum will be enhanced by field trips, classroom visitors and hands-on learning. In addition, Deer Valley can offer students a very unique opportunity for physical development by using skiing, hiking, rock climbing and gymnastics to enhance their pre-school experience.

Our current Children's Center can accommodate 143 children on a daily basis during the winter season. Based on the average number of children that sign up for our winter child care, we have a limited number of spots available in the Academy itself.
