The Lounsbury Adaptive Program is The Lounsbury Program is a chapter of Disabled Sports/USA. By learning to ski, people increase their confidence and experience a freedom and independence that they never felt before. By concentrating on abilities, not disabilities, students develop the attitude of, "If I can do this, I can do anything!"
The program is available for individuals 7 days a week. Groups can be accommodated weekdays. Appointments must be made ahead of time. A full range of adaptive equipment is available for skier of all abilities, including specially engineered devices for wheelchair users. The instruction is adapted to the individual and the student/teacher ratio is 1:1.
