A True Celebration of Maturity....

A year-round activity program for skiers over the age of 50, The Over The Hill Gang originated at Copper Mountain in 1976 and has been going strong ever since. The club is very active and remains a true celebration of maturity and a testimony to skiing as a lifetime sport.

This uniquely organized year-round program is owned by Copper Mountain Resort and operated by the Copper Ski and Ride School. It offers skiers 50 and over the opportunity to share in lasting friendships and camaraderie while participating in skiing, summer sport activities, and social events.

The Gang skis in guided groups on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from mid-November to mid-April (except for breaks during the Christmas Holiday and President's Weekend).

Skiing in small groups of 5-10 members of similar abilities and guided by the select OHG Guide Staff, members are able to maximize their time on the snow with lift-line cutting privileges.

Around 11:30am, the groups gather for lunch at a reserved location on the mountain. Following afternoon skiing, they end their day with an Après Ski Social providing members, guests, and guides to relax and share their experiences of the day.

The OHG Guides are an outstanding group of individuals who really "make it happen" on the hill for members. The guides are all members of the Copper Ski and Ride School. Their priorities are safety, fun, and learning.

Guides routinely offer instruction and skiing tips to help members enjoy their day more. Special clinics are offered during th season on everything from racing to telemark instruction.
