Copper's kids programs are fun, friendly and designed to take your greatest joy to the greatest joys of snowriding.

There are classes for every level of skier and rider, and each is designed to bring out the best in young snowriders.

The Schoolhouse at Union Creek is the Copper Kids headquarters, featuring kid sized everything - from the tables and chairs to the décor and bathrooms.

The magic comes in one size only - extra large.

Bring the family to the Schoolhouse and we'll set you up with one of our friendly, supportive and qualified kids instructors. Ski lessons are available for ages 3-15 and snowboard lessons are offered for ages 7 to 15.

Kids Lessons

Pre-kindergarten*
An introduction to skiing, with an emphasis on mountain fun through games and lots of laughs. Children learn to walk in their ski boots and skis, and how to slide on the snow. Beginning to turn, stop and riding the Rugrat Express is on the horizon.
* Please be aware that children must be potty trained and accept peaceful separation from Mom and Dad.

Elementary Grades K-5
Beginner skiers learn to walk in their ski boots and skis, turn, stop and ride the Rugrat Express. The Rugrat Express is Copper's "magic carpet ride". This is a mini conveyor belt that takes kids to the top of the beginner area (see picture at left). Experienced skiers learn mountain safety, to ride the Kokomo chair lift, and to improve their basic skills, all at their own pace.

6th - 10th Grades (max age of 15)
Ski or snowboard in a fun, supportive atmosphere among new friends. Kids explore all of the coolest trails and places on the mountain, while being challenged and coached to learn new skills, mountain etiquette and safety by our qualified children's instructors.
