Took my girlfriend here to teach her to ski- overall a positive experience. To sum it up:
Good points:
- Awesome ski shop. Can't say enough about how great this place is...I bought 2 complete sets of skis, boots, and poles for $1000 during their sale, and the salesman was very knowledgeable and friendly!
- Decent beginner area with a couple dedicated lifts.
- Right off the interstate.
Bad Points:
- Accessibility equals bus groups.
- Black runs limited to an icy mogul run and some very short and narrow trails.
- The 460 ft vertical is deceptive because the top third is all greens and blues that should be greens.

Visited Cascade on Jan 3rd this year. Cascade is a great place to ski. The high speed quad lets you get a lot of runs in when it's not too crowded. The layout of runs is very good. They do a good job of providing jumps and rails for people of different abilites and spread them out in different areas. Snow making is great--they have invested a lot in new snow guns and it shows--especially this year.

I ski at Cascade 3-4 times a year. A major drawback at Cascade is poor service. There are almost always inexcusably long waits to buy lift tickets. Expect to stand in line for up to 20 minutes, even longer if you need rentals. Food is bad, expensive and lines are long.
