Mission Ridge is probably the most under rated ski area in the state of Washington. Sunny days, dry snow, and no crowds and that old school ski area attitude. It is so nice to ski or board a mountain and not have to make your turns around the throngs of people.
The Pros: -On Mountain Childcare -Uncrowded Slopes -Nice Terrain Park -Very Short Lift Lines -Reasonable Lift Tickets Prices (48$ v. 58$ Stevens Pass) -Great Service (From Ticket Sellers to Lifties to -Food Service Staff) -Dry Snow -Sun (bring your sunscreen) -Excellent Variety of Terrain (Shoots to groomers)
Cons: -2.5-3hours from Seattle -Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays -A little short on restaurant amenities (outside patios), they have a mid mountain that is nice just small.

Not a large area, but a lot of great terrain. Lots more sun than west of the mountains

This review is based on only one visit, so factor that in.
I really liked Mission Ridge. I visited on a holiday weekend during a snow storm and the place was not crowded at all. No lift lines. I had a great time skiing powder all day.
The terrain at Mission does not include much really steep stuff, though there was some to be had. It really excells in the open cruising type of run. It's a great place to visit and I reccomend it.
