We ski at Okemo and stayed here last March and had a great time. The town of Chester is charming, historical pretty and although smaller than many Vermont destinations it has everything you could need to keep you occupied during your stay. We usually stay in Stowe, but the long drive was a pain, we loved the fact that we could start our vacation and start to relax earlier as Chester is only 4 hour drive from NYC. The Inn itself is cozy yet gracious, beautiful yet friendly in fact everything you hope a Vermont B&B would be. We splashed out and stayed in the Princess Helena room which had access to the almost private outdoor hot tub. The location is perfect a 15-20 mins from Okemo, and also close enough to Stratton if you felt like a change. However most people choosing B&Bs over hotels do so for the hospitality and this is where this place truly excels. I will just say that the innkeepers appear to have found their true vocation. We were particularly impressed by their ability to discern which guests wanted private time and those that wanted to chat a rare gift indeed. Breakfasts were great and dinner recommendations excellent. Were coming back next season! Les and Jim
