Earlier review misses mark entirely. Cochran's is a very special place, the last of the Vermont Mom & Pops, now a non-profit dedicated to serving youth. Awesome, affordable race club carries on the Cochran tradition. Cochrans once dominated US racing scene (Barbara Ann, Gold, Sapporo; Bobby, Kitzbuhel winner; Marilyn, World Cup GS Champ, 1968). Now (2006) four grandkids are on US team, with more in pipeline. Old and new World Cup bibs and trophies decorate the humble lodge. Little kids having a blast. Three lifts, not two, including the legendary Cochran's rope tow (1000 ft. per minute!) Cheap tickets, laid-back family atmosphere, ski history. It's what skiing used to be, and well worth a visit if you enjoy soul and sincerity.

Cochrans Noch is a tiny little ski area. It only has 2 lifts no chair lifts and copared to were I ski {burke} every trail is like a bunny hill. It is a little crowded hill. The actitvties well they don't have any. But the only thing good about cochrans noch is the value.
