Bear creek offers great terrein for beginners and intermidiats, I would think experets would get bored here after a while. The have a great terrein park maybe the best in PA. The resort is large enought to kee you occupied in all the trails for a few days, they coud use faster lifts, but hey its a small place. As far the resort goes it is EXCELLENT best ever, they have new lodge, hotel, and coference center, the hotel is great and views are even better, the spa an pool are great, the lodge offers wireless internet everywhere and so does the hotel, leather sofas a fireplaces make this place even better, if feel the mood for better food, they even have an upscale restaurant in the same place, it is great. You don't have to drive out side of the slopes to have a great familly fun. Great place to learn park, or perfect what you know, we went a week before they closed and we the place for ourselves, and a few other locals. Staff is quite friendly and they even upgraded our room slope side view for free. The rooms are very nice and confortable. I believe in the last years they invested a lot of cash into this place.

They had two big fun terrain parks. The hotel is very nice and very clean and the midweek special package is a wonderful value. The begginner trails are very easy, and blue trails are almost as easy. Black Diamond trails are very short, at least there is almost no chance of killing yourself here if you worry about that.

Some of the lifts were a bit annoying. They were hard and hurt the backs of your legs. Plus some of the lift operators shoved them at you. I am an average height woman and the beginner lift was too high for me, I almost fell off trying to get on. the lift operators had to lift little children up to get them on. I guess they had to jump down to get off.

The food as always was overpriced but there were a lot of cubbies and lockers to stash your homemade lunch right by the dining area.

I definitely recommend this resort as a place to go during your first year of skiing if you live in PA, NJ, or DE. If you have had a lesson before and can turn ok you can go straight to the top and not kill yourself. There is a nice long, very easy trail from there.
