Antons on the Lake review

I wanted to take my new girlfriend to a weekend getaway. This was definitely the worst choice I could have made. I spoke with Matt, the owner/manager before booking the room. He told me that the restaurant was under construction but the rooms and grounds were very nice and country like. We wanted to leave as soon as we pulled up. However we had driven for over an hour to get there so we tried to make it work. The room did look like the photo on the web however it smelled badly of mold. The air conditioner rattled very loudly. Outside the entire area including the parking lot, restaurant and docks were dilapidated. There would have been a nice fire pit overlooking the lake but there were no chairs and the pit was rusted and falling apart.

It seemed like we were the only tenants there however Matt claimed that he was booked. We told Matt that we felt we were misled by both his website and him on the telephone. He refused to give us our deposit back. After bickering we left losing $100.

This guy does not know how to run a B&B and misrepresented the condition of his place. DO NOT GO HERE!
