Just came back from a weekend at Greek. Must say that I was quite happy with the variety of terrain and the length of the runs, despite the snow conditions. Lift lines were short and it was always easy to ski back to main area for a pint. Not much offered in the way of base amenities, but I can't complain. Stayed in Cortland at the Econo Lodge and was happy with the rate and room and the city. Well worth the drive from Ontario.

I have been skiing for many years at GP and it is very discouraging to find such a lack of general management at the area. It seems as though there is no effort or interest in keeping the trails properly groomed during the entire season.
Right now the Iliad is a mass of very bad mogles from top to bottom. This is a sign of absolutely no grooming and yet GP allows this abysmal condition to exist. For safety sake and to be able to ski the entire mountain, these should be leveled regularly....as other areas do.
As a season pass holders, we are very disturbed that all efforts to maintain all trails in the best possible condition has been apparently given up.

We have also observed, throughout the season, very unsafe skiing by kids and snowboarders shooting out of the woods onto trails. We mentioned this to one ski patrol person who agreed it was not good, yet did nothing to stop it or chastise the persons involved. Signs in the lodge areas prohibit such behavior and threaten removal of tickets......who is actually enforcing this?
It is our experience that NO ONE is.

Is there no slope management up there?
Or is all effort being funneled into the debaucle of Hope Lake?

Great Family mountain.with nice runs,no lift lines and friendly crowd. It may need new lifts but there is never a line. Greak Peak is in the snow belt so snow is never a problem.
