mt. rose is one of the best, why? first, the chutes, hard to explain how great it is, you will know after just one run. it was backcountry poaching just a few years ago, you get the idea eh? second, I love the high speed chairs, and especially no waiting lines, you can ski more runs in a given time than almost all other places. third, the prices are very reasonable, especially the bargain specials like weekend package and all mid-week discounts. runs other than the chutes are good as well, blacks are blacks and blues are solid blues, well, most of them, and the super long and wide greens are paradise to beginers, well, no high speed chairs there but beginers need to rest often anyway because of no lift lines. food is not bad but the lodge is kinda old but still ok. anyway, mt. rose is a great great place for all skiers.
