I've been skiing here for years, and feel it is one of the best ski area values. We usually stay in the SkiValley. There are rarely crowds, good service, and terrain that can't be beat. Best steeps and tree runs I've ever been on. Doesn't lend itself well to beginners if they try to teach themselves, but they have some of the best lessons/instructors I've ever seen. Great for the experienced skier.

Visited for the first time in Jan 2007. They have a FABULOUS deal in January: 6 half-day lessons for $60. Not $60/day, $60 TOTAL. 11 of our 12 skiers took advantage of this sweet deal. It's a bit remote but that helps keep the crowds down, which is a big plus in my book. Plenty of terrain, yet I felt I'd skied every bit of it (that I could) in the week I was there. Not a whole lot of nightlife but I was so tired at the end of each day I didn't care. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. We stayed slopeside at the Snakedance Condos which were very nice. I'll be back!

Without questinon, for expert skiiers, TSV is one of the great mountains in North America. Steeps, chutes, trees, hikeable extreme terrain, and NO snowboarders. Plus, green chile on anything you eat.
