Mt Sunapee is a great mountain. Not only does it have fantastic snow and grooming, but the extra activities (day care, adaptive skiing, etc) are really nice to see, even though I do not partake in them. The black diamonds are fairly easy, but the trails gove you enough to take up the day. There is even a shuttle from the parking lots to the lodges Way to go Sunapee!

Sunapee was my first experience of skiing in the USA and I have got to say it was great. A really friendly ski area with some lovely runs to play on. During the week the slopes were almost empty with small crowds at the weekend.
But I gotta tell you IF you really want to see crowds on the ski slope you need to get over to Europe where you can wait in lines for the lifts for an hour or more at the height of the season in the more popular ski areas

Mt.Sunapee Resort offers a big ski area feel without having to drive more than 2 hours from the Boston area. The trails are always well groomed and the snowmaking is tremendous. Mt. Sunapee kept us skiing most of this past season when the snow was not falling anywhere. The people who work the lifts and check the tickets are always friendly and couteous. The lodges are both kept as clean as possible considering the amount of people that utilize the area. I recommend Sunapee to anyone looking for a place to ski that doesn't take all day to drive to from the Boston area.

of fun.

M fmaily have been skiing Sunapee for about five years now, and I can't say that I can complain about anything. We are not locals, but have a house in New London, about 15 minutes away from the resort...so we usually head up there every weekend/every other weekend to go ski.

As a snowboarder, I would say that Sunapee has a mix of every thing. There are massive cruisers, where you can open up and really goping, they have a few mogul trails, although the one over in the Sunbowl is not very well maintained. It is a pretty stantard New England ski resort...its not as big as an Okemo or a Mt. Snow, but its big enough so that most of the time, its not crowded. There are those weekends when they have some sort of promotion. For example, if you drive a Jeep to the mountain you get a free ticket, etc, etc.

The terrain park is actually quite good...plenty of rails, boxes, and assorted hips and tabletops to keep us boarders happy...I've always liked the Sunapee terrain park.

Overall, Sunapee is a good mountain...I highly recommend it to any and all skiers/boarders. There is terrain for everyone.

I have been skiing at Sunapee since I was eight years old. I have fond memories of ski school and the kind instructors that taught me everything that I know about skiing. Now that I am an adult, I still find myself drawn to Sunapee year after year. The atmosphere is extremely family oriented, and I feel very at-home there.

crowds should be limited to legitimate parking lots and not allowed on roads or beach area.
