Poley is almost the perfect "small" ski area. The trails are varied and fun with lots of variation from beginner to experts. The lodge is the best in the maritimes (tied with Martock I say) and trail maintenance is the best in the maritmes. Rather than open the hill right after a rainy day, they close it for 2 days so the snow dries out. Other places open right up, let people ski on the wet stuff and then it freezes to sheet ice. The only complaints I have is lack of lifts and lack of stopping area at the bottom of the hill.
+Excellent trail variation and terrain parks. +Excellent lodge layout +The best trail maintenance in the maritimes. +The best "special deals" in the maritimes.
-Could use a secondary lift, top to bottom -Lack of stopping area at the bottom

Poley can get crowded but it has been home to me for 17 years. It has made it through some tough times but we're on the upswing now! A new quad chair is coming soon and that will help out on those busy weekends and holidays! I love this little mountain and it's atmosphere...I haven't found anything quite like it even at Louise, Whistler, Sunshine (although i am not comparing the terrain!!)
