This is the best ski resort for the real down-home, family oriented, extremely friendly and personable staff! It has terrific terrain for every level. It's unusual in that you drive to the top of the mountain and ski down. The only place I've seen the beginning slope at the top of the mountain. When weather permits, you can see beautiful Flathead Lake while riding one of the chairs. You are definitely "out in the woods" with not even one condo for miles and miles! It's a great price and absolutely no lift lines! Only problem we had was finding the run "Radar". Maps and signs posted did not correlate. We eventually explored and found it... and it was a great intermediate run. For spring conditions, it was incredible. Yeah Blacktail!
