I love big sky I have skied all over Montana and this is the best mountain, I have never stood in a line and the chair lifts are fast. awesome to ski.

Big Sky ski resort is set in a beautiful location, but that's not what impressed me. I had expected the mountain to be bustling with people when the conditions were perfect; however, it felt like only a few people on the mountain. There is just so much space! Big Sky has a great variety of terrain for anyone from beginner to expert. Considering this place's size, make sure you take a trail map so you know where you'll end up!

Been all over the US and Canada and made my first trip up to Big Sky in Jan. 2007. If you are a serious skier this is probably one of the best resorts on the continent. Firstly, there are no crowds here-even on weekends. This means no liftlines and allows you to get in a ton of skiing-since most of the major lifts are high-speed. The terrain variety is fantastic, it's pretty much a cross between Snowmass & Jackson Hole. The cruising terrain on Andesite Mountain, esp. Elk Park Ridge, is long with a perfect pitch, wide open and under-utilized. There is expert terrain all over. About the only line that I waited in was for the Lone Peak Tram-but once you take a couple of runs from the top, it is well worth it. Liberty Bowl is amazing, it seems much bigger than Jackson's Rendevous Bowl and the Dictator chutes are challenging as well. About the only weaknesses that I see in Big Sky is that there is nothing to do here but ski-which I don't have a problem with. Secondly, the snow cover was a little thin-particularly at the top. I attribute this mostly to high winds. Thirdly, there are very few restaurant options here. All in all, I'd recomend Big Sky to anyone that loves to ski-this is one of the few places where you will get the maximum bang for your buck!

I worked at Bigskyresort and what can I say, it's a beautyful place to be. It has amazing mountains, lot of activities during night and great people around.

A great place to Ski, Relax, Ski, Take it easy, Ski, enjoy the Beauty of the Area, Ski, Ski, Ski. Just got back from my third trip to Big Sky in just under a year. I love this place and neighboring Moonlight Basin (kudos to both for kissing adn making up) so much I bought a Frequency Pass, I live over 550 miles away but it's worth the drive! for this kind of Skiing.

Summery of the Mountain and Ski Conditions: Everything for Everyone, great green runs for those beginners, fast long burning blues for those intermediates - favorites of mine are Calamity and Crazy Horse, the bowl. Excellent extreme Black Diamonds from the top of Lone Peak and around the mountain like Africa.

Services - excellent customer service at skier services to professional treatment at the Big Sky Medical Clinic - unfortunately I had to use the med clinic for a wipeout-brocken clavicle in Dec 2005 - but hey back on the slopes in a month.

People friendly, great discounts for students, military and the frequency pass will keep me coming back - planning on another visit in just over a month.

Did I mention they've had a ton of snow this year and the lift lines don't exist.

Lots of people but a whole lot of mountain. Great upper mountain terrain. Good groomers but excellent blues and blacks. A fun hill that'll work your quads.
