No lines, great hospitality, and breath taking views! A few of the many reasons we take the train to Big Mountain every year in March. Make sure you go downtown and try a burger at the "Bulldog", and have Rachel make you a drink at "Casey's". Good Times!

I rode Big Mountain at the end of the 05/06 season and there was more than enough powder for the whole week I spent there. I almost crapped my pants on East Rim and Bighorn. Both are very steep & East Rim has some awesome glades to throw in the mix. Hellroaring Basin has incredible tree skiing/riding. Only problems I found with the trip, aside from having the flu while I was out there, was the ridiculous amount of FOG at the summit. The locals say it's almost always foggy up there. All week, I think I had one clear day. Also, the town of Whitefish is pretty small. There are a few bars and restaurants down there, but nothing else in the way of nightlife. So, it's great if all you want to do is ski/ride all day and kick back in your hotel/condo at night. I loved this resort.

Big Mountain.... hmmm what can I say... BIG! If you enjoy few crowds, amazing tree skiing with loads of powder, and breathtaking views than Big Mountain is for you. Hellroaring Basin offers some of the best natural glade skiing anywhere and the locals are great. Make your way Big Mountain and ski the fish!
