Being a local at Timber Ridge I have learned to appreciate it very much. Many would think...oh it's small and it sucks, but this is a great place to learn how to ski, and skiing southwest Michgain conditions helps you out a lot. Hemlock is awsome with a few great lines of moguls, the terrain park helps you out with sticking some first-time 3's, and any beginner can start here. Mastering southwest Michigan snow is hard, because it's usually wet, heavy, or icy, but that is where the challenge of this little place comes in handy. The groom also is pretty good at Timber Ridge, for carving up. But like I said, skiing these southwest Michigan hills helped me out a terrific amount when going out to Snowbird Utah where you can find the perfect champaine pow. This is a great place to begin!
