Our family loves Crystal. Both my children learned to ski at Crystal. Their staff is exceptional! And they keep the runs maintained. We rarely have to wait to get on a lift - even during the busy Holiday season. This New Year's we went to another popular Michigan ski resort and waited on average - 20 minutes - to load the chair lift. Right then we decided, Crystal just knows how to run a ski resort. Yes, you do have to "cross country" ski to get to some areas - like North Face - but once you're there - it's wondering skiing.

One of my favorite places to ski. The only down side to the whole place is alot of their runs come together near the high speed quad. It is also very flat in that area so your left just coasting slowly without carving at all, and sometimes having to use your polls to help you along. Other then that, if your coming up from down state its the best closest resort without having to drive to far.

Crystal is the best resort in Michigan. The terrain is sweet and the only downside is that at the base of all of the runs you have to pedal around. i went in late march and it was the best resort i've been to in Michigan.
