They are ok, and they have ok instructors and stuff. They are always booked with schools and the such, and I have had problems 2 times with there not being any rentals available when going there. I have gone there 5 times. Sat around all day turning my thumbs while my friends were around. You can't book the rentals either!
So, like me, if you are renting, only go on weekdays, but even then there is NO guarantee that anything will be available and no information is posted on their site. Because there are so many schools there, it is hard to learn, because if you are trying to learn how to carve there are tons of kids all over the runs lying down, so you end up having to avoid them. It gets frustrating.
One time with the rentals, I was told there weren't any available, and found out later(5 hours later) that there was the whole time. Their left hand doesn't know what their right is doing and are uncomputerized in these things I guess. Incompetency gone to the nth extreme.
There aren't that many green runs, and they are quite short, so it is hard to practice on them. I liked Sunshine because the runs were long, allowing you to practice stuff.
So go, but only if you aren't a learner, and have your own equipment.

Woulden't it be nice if there was a real valley, or better yet a real mountain right beside the city of Winnipeg. Living in Manitoba we will take what we can get. I have driven 14 hours or more to ride/ski the Rockies, and will do it again.Unless you live on the hill, your going to have to drive aways, if you don't like to drive too far, Spring Ditch or Stoner Mountain are very close to Winnipeg.

Great ski hill and lots of great effort and money being spent there. too bad no one told these people that no one wants to drive more then an hour to get to their local hill. I suspect after the new car smell wears off and all the investment dollars have been spent this hill will see the same fate as the previous now closed ski hill in the area.. what was the name of that hill again. Should have invested those dollars somewhere that is acctuall close to the major population and given us a 365 day a year ski hill or put the money into a place where you can sell tourisum internationally... good luck asissippi, I'd come back for a ski but it's to dam far to drive for just a day sorry. Remember anything over 59minutes is proven no good, manitoba tourisum is proven no good.. what a great hill while it lasts though.

A great place for a day of skiing, so close by. For those who think it is too far away remember not all Manitobans live in Winnipeg. You can't change nature that is where the valley is! We have our superpasses and are ready for a great winter. Check out the website and see the new things happening!

Asessippi is a very very good ski hill for the price and the superpass deal is great!! I have bought one for 3 years and it has been worth it considering it's only an hour and 15min drive away. Will be snowboarding their for many years to come.
