Sun Valley is like taking a trip back to the 80s. No snowboard park? Sun Valley still harbors the elitist attitude of skiers toward snowboarders. With an average of three major storms per year, Sun Valley gets 25% of the snow that resorts to the south in Utah, like Snowbird get. If you choose a resort based on the people seeing and shopping opportunities of the resort this may be your play. If you are a dedicated skier or rider who like powder and airtime try somewhere else, anywhere else.

Longest continuous pitch runs in US, largest snowmaking system in the world, by far the best on mountain lodges in US, fantastic food, bathrooms are spotless all granite, brass, marble. You think you are at the 4 seasons! The town of Ketchum has some of the best chefs and restaurants of any MT resort. Art Galleries that are better than Carmel by the Sea ! Beauty abounds also in the summer and fall.

A great mountain with a wide variety of terrain. Best snow is in late January through February usually, although the sunny days in March and April are tough to beat. The town of Ketchum has a fantastic restaurant scene and pretty good nightlife as well. I highly recommend the Pioneer Saloon for dinner. Great bar, steaks and crowd. Grumpy's or Lefty's is your best bet for a great big cheeseburger and beer after a tough day skiing.

Sun Valley is one of the best ski resorts in the world! With world class terrain and service, Sun Valley is a must do. Ketchum also has plenty of activities for the evenings after a long day of skiing.
