This is a great ski area with lots of snow and and no crowds. Lookout's easy access from I-90 is great and lift tickets are not expensive. The glade skiing on the front side is excellent and the North Side rocks! I love this area. BJ, try Vail.

Best snow for the Inland Northwest. Area is small but a bargain compared to Silver Mt and others. Does lack a diversity of terrain but has plenty of mountain for most intermediate skiers. Lookout is working on a new lift and runs for the more experienced to open next year. Great ski school (free to kids) and area lacks crowds, has nice staff and patrolers. Easy access off the Interstate 90. No lodging on mountain but lots of rooms in the small area towns, hungry and happy for your business. Area has snowmobile, snowshoe and cross/backcountry ski opportunities into the St Regis Basin, across the road up to the Mullan weather station and other loactions.

Lookout Pass is an excellent place to spend a day in the snow. They've got awesome fluffy powder, and lots of exciting runs. I've made several trips to Lookout, and have yet to be let down. If you want an affordable experience with great runs for beginners and experts alike then head to Lookout.
