If you want to go to a resort in Connecticut, this is the one. However, if you are willing to go up north to Vermont, there are much better choices.

Terrain:
Compared with other CT resorts, it's the best. They have a nice variety, but the black diamonds are blue squares or easier anywhere up north. Their terrain park on stinger is terrific, however, it's very advanced and will challenge everyone.

Service:
Overall, their service is pretty good, with a good weekend ski school. They have terrific facilities, with a great lodge though it is pricey.

Crowds:
This place is packed! Since there are limited ski resorts in CT, everyone comes here. To get through the lift line alone, it can take 1/2 hour on a Saturday or Sunday. Go on the weekdays however, it's much better.

Activities:
There isn't really much to say, because it isn't really a resort. They did just put in a snow-skate park which crowds the place significantly but it seemed as if a lot of kids loved it. They have good lessons, but they were pricey.

Value:
As for value, it's pretty expensive. For the minimal terrain, the passes are overpriced. The one thing I do like that even places in Vermont don't have, is night skiing. This place is terrific at night, and a 4 hour night skiing pass (6-10 p.m.) is fantastically priced and you will have the place to yourself. Also, they will be grooming the trails for the next day then, so the terrain will be top notch.

Overall, if you want to stay in CT, come here. But if you're willing to travel up north, check out smugg's, stowe, or killington.

its ski rundown... kidding aside, i skied here in high school everyday. it does get boring, but a good place to start- my first turns where at sundown.

basic, small hill. 650' vert. nothing steep. but not flat.

they've started to clutter the place with terrain parks- they're everywhere and its a bit annoying. they have more rails than most (perhaps all?) vermont resorts. seriously, its a rail garden. turning is secondary to "jibbing" a rail.

after a big, rare dump... head beyond gunbarrel at the top. go under the rope, and down that walking trail to the ledge. hit it. then ski the handcut glade below to the runout back to gunbarrel. glade skiing- CT style.
