The Terrain was good, not much difficult stuff aside from a couple of double blacks on the backside, but most of the stuff was fun. We had 5 inches of powder for the day we skied there so that made it better. Intermediates and above could easily ski the mountain out in a day to a day and a half.
The Service was terrible, especially in the one rental shop the resort has. At 830 in the morning we got in line for rentals and did not hit the slopes until 1030! Not only that the people in the shop were incredibly rude. When getting fit for boots I told the fitter they did not fit and he insisted they did and sent me down the line...had to come back and change out after one run. In addition, I paid for a performance package and got the exact pair of skis my friend did when he simply paid for the basic package...on top of that I requested a certain length and the could not even get me close to that length claiming they were out...
It was crowded but not to bad considering it was over the winter holidays period and was a powder day. The resort did not have the triple up the front side running which seemed pretty ridiculous considering the larger lines at the six person lift and the time of year it was...
The resort was a good value (compared to Telluride where we skied the rest of the week) $65 lift tickets. Rentals were well priced if only you could get good service, which I did not.
Overall the resort was a good place to stop and get warmed up for the m ore advanced stuff at Telluride but I would avoid the Purgatory Sports Rental shop like the plague. And if you are an advanced skier I would not count on skiing here for more than a day or two. Probably great for families though as the resort advertises.

It's a great mountian if you are looking for a mellow ride. Service in the mountain is not the best, but for that you have Durango just down the way!!! Will in Durango need to stop at the Lost Dog Bar and Lounge!! Food is exellent all home made stuff, Happy hour time is more of the 26 to 36 crowd and at night there is no place with more people that "THE DOG" It's a very clean place with 50 bourbons, 50 single malt scothes and 70 tequilas and $2.00 Drafts all day every day!!!! A Must
