Buttermilk is a great mountain for everyone. Being relatively inexpensive for Colorado, it is worth going there. It is very uncrowded, and very luxurious

There are three steeper mountains nearby for "hot dog" experts. This is a great hill for beginner and intermeditate skiers. Not crowded on our visit - Jan 5 - Jan 12 2008. Nice long cruisers - no crowds - no flats. I agree with the comment above about Bumps food - I was pleasently surprised how good it was - there was something new everday. My husband and I ate there 3 times and enjoyed everyting we tried. Warning - Do not try the walnut brownie - you'll have to have one everyday.

Buttermilk is my favorite mountain. It is great for the whole family. Over on Tiehack, there are difficult black runs and on main and west buttermilk there are great groomers. The terrain is fabulous and groomed daily. Bumps restaurant has great food too. After a day on the slopes, you can just sit down and relax at Bumps. It is the best mountain in the world for kids, but it is also fun for adults. There are plenty of trails that are absolutely perfect. I can't stress enough how amazing this mountain is.
