My husband and I have visited this restaurant many times and have always had a great meal. To start, the waitstaff and bartenders are friendly and very helpful. The garlic cheese bread, house salad, fried calamari and the sausage and rigatoni are amazing. Their menu also offers fried ravioli, minestrone soup, fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti, penne gorgonzola, halibut, salmon, lamb, pork, and filet mignon. We have not sampled the desserts yet because by the time we finish our meal, we are too stuffed to eat anything else. One of these good days, I am going to have to leave room and try their desserts because they look divine. Nevertheless, on the 30th of March, hubby and I went there for dinner and left feeling very disappointed. We made reservations and arrived a little bit early. No problem. We simply hung out at the bar and waited for our table to be ready. After a few minutes, we walked over to the hostess stand and waited. Nearby, another couple appeared to be waiting for the rest of their party to arrive. When the other half (another couple with a baby) of the party came in, the hostess happily greeted them (I think they were her buddies) and proceeded to seat them before us. I thought maybe the other party had reservations first so it was only fair but then I thought of how many establishments will only seat a party if all members are present. My husband and I were ready to be seated and yet we felt we were 'bumped' due to the fact the hostess knew the other people. We were quite annoyed to say the least and we left. Again, the food is great and the waitstaff is superb but the fact that familiarity overshadowed good business left a bad taste in our mouth. As a business owner myself, I feel this is not way to operate. I want to go back again but I do not want to risk a lovely evening being ruined.

Felt compelled to review this establishment because of our fairly negative experience. We showed up 30 min early for our reservation. No big deal, we were prepared to sit at the bar for awhile. We waited until several minutes after our scheduled reservation. We then notice the hostess seating several couples, including some who looked like they just walked in. She came to us and told us it would be 10 min longer before we were seated (putting us 15 min after our reservation). We asked her why so many people were seated in front of us. She said one party was late for an earlier reservation, and the other was a walk-in that she gave a table in the middle of the restaurant. She tells us she didn't want to give us that table, she'd give us a nicer one in the back of the restaurant. This was a load of bull, the man she seated looked a little pushy, and she was willing to accomodate him at our expense. Maybe it's petty, but feeling you're being treated unfairly by people you don't even know sucks. We were quite upset, but wanted to try the food, so we stuck around anyway.

Unfortunately, the food was only so-so. The calamari was actually pretty good, but the chicken parm, fetuccini alfredo and grilled salmon were all pretty average. The waitress was quite nice and fast, though.

The bar area was very nice. The bartender was very friendly, and comped us a drink when he noticed we were irritated by the hostess' treatment. The restaurant decor is also pretty charming.

Overall, a nice place to stop and get a drink, but the service up front and the so-so food mean we won't be back for dinner.
