You get what you pay for here. Best service and friendliest staff I have experienced at any ski resort. You will have the black terrain to yourself since most stayed on groomers. Escalators make it nice so you don't have to climb steps. Beginner area is all to itself. Good fall line. A must visit resort.

WOW- is this place pricey- but you definetely get what you pay for. They fall over you to "serve" you- helping me get my and my 4 year old's boots on, carrying my skis around,etc.. You will not struggle here- they won't allow it! Lift lines were nonexistent! A total breeze.
We were there Jan 5 to 12th and they got about 4 feet of snow over the week. Runs were NOT overgroomed- but maybe that is because it was constantly snowing. Lots of ungroomed terrain here that week. FYI- if you want to ski with your kids and they are just learning- you can get yourself and kids tickets cheaper if you get the one for "beginner area"-- gondola, and chair lift- short but easy run. We took our 4 and 6 year old for a full day there.
This is by far the most beautiful resort I've been to. Went to Vail for a day of tubing (Adventure Ridge- look into it if you have kids!)- that place was mobbed, traffic was ridiculous, parking terrible. Pretty though.....

This resort should be called groomed land. The resort itself is very nice, great architecture, a good vibe and a lot of $$$. The terrain is very varied and a little of something for everyone. The problem of beaver is grooming they take it out of proportion. I personally like mountains that are a little wild (Normal conditions), but in beaver creek almost every run is groomed into perfection taking most of the fun out of riding. What I personally think is that they are trying to target a wealthy costumer base, that only skis for a few runs and then just go and walk around with their $$$ clothes. Now Vail is as wild as it gets, what an incredible resort.
But over all good experience, do no regret it. If you want to escape from the crowds, definitely go to Beaver Creek. You can park down in the town and the parking is free. I guess if you are into over groomed runs, this is your place.

Fabulous resort that I highly recommend. Only problem we had was with our snowmobile trip with Nova Guides. I won't go into details but use another group if you go snowmobiling.

Without getting real specific in my review, I've been to many top resorts in the area and in utah, Beaver creek is a very solid choice for a ski vacation (other "great" resorts have bombed, in some ways, compared to beaver creek, in my opinion). It is a little high-end but in some cases that makes a better experience if you can afford it.
The mountain is 5 times more beautiful than vail (30 minutes down the road), if your in to that, but it doesn't have the size or back bowls that vail does. In my opinion, vail is more of a six flags experience, all thrills , and beaver creek has a more relatable human scale that is more picturesque (feeling of being in the wild) and enjoyable as a winter skiing experience.
I'm an intermediate to advanced snowboarder not into the terrain parks or going crazy on the slopes. Most resorts I have something really negative to say about my experience there, but not at beaver creek, I only wish they would get more fresh snow. I know what it feels like to spend thousands 3 months in advance on a ski trip and be disappointed in the end, Beaver creek is a good choice in avoiding that.

To start get ready to spend a lot of money, from parking to the food. But if have the money, this place is amazing, great long blues and challenging blacks, fast lifts and good service. We were there the first week of January and the crowds were none existent in the lifts and the trail were so wide that you ever got to see other riders. They groom a lot maybe to much, we went the day after a big pow and the whole place was groomed except for a few runs, so we had to stay in those runs, but the place is extensive lots of acres of fun. As far the town goes it resembles a little town in Europe very nice Ice sculptures.
I would rate this place better than Vail, a must if your in the area

Let's get the obvious out of the way first: This place is expensive and there is a better than even chance that you will run into some snobs at various points. Still, there is a lot to recommend here. The mountain is fantastic and the tough terrain is virtually empty. Great long cruisers for the family and plenty of fast lifts to keep everyone moving. The service and the resort itself are top notch, you'll never feel underserved here. Food is great but it'll cost you of course. Having Vail down the road is a bonus but we ended up skiing at the Beav the whole time. I had some of the best ski days of my life here - whole runs to myself and the only sounds were my skis on the snow and the wind in my face.

Just like vail but smaller, more family oriented, pleanty to do without the crowds, and more reasonably sized moutain. Overall the best mountain experience in the rockies. The Blinki burgers at arrowhead are amazing just like the talons.

Usually great snow - powder LASTS unlike many places. Groomed in some areas, and the BEST bumps ever in Birds of Prey! Not crowded, FREE parking and easy transportation. If you take your lunch, you save some $. Good venue for races with jumbotron to watch. The FREE fresh-baked cookies at 3 pm are worth waiting for!!! Friendly ambassador volunteers.Value is high only because I have a Colorado Pass.
