We stayed at Copper Lodge during a summer event. There were a few shops, restaurants and outdoor activities for travelers. A lot of the shops appeared to be closed. The room cost us quite a bit more than usual hotels in the mountains and so we had high expectations, but were surely disappointed. It turned out to be poorly managed offsight, so there was no one in the building at a desk to speak to. The room was tiny, cramped really, without even a chair to sit on -- only the bed. The TV was nice and the bathrooms had recently been partially updated -- but only partially. The decor was mismash and sloppily painted. Our only window overlooked an alley to a bar, which had a bad but loud band playing until all hours. It was hot in the room (no AC), so we had to choose between muffled bad music and hot room or loud music and less stuffy room. We alternated throughout the night. There is no maid service for only two nights' stay and there were not a single provision for a breakfast bar -- only a badly stocked vending machine in a dirty and poorly lit room. The only ice machine was not on our floor. Of the two elevators, one seemed to be out of commission at times and the stairwells and one elevator smelled awful. We were extremely disappointed in our stay and upon reporting our disappointment to management, were only given defensive excuses. We will not stay there again and do not recommend it to anyone.
