the summit is an awsome resort for the price. ive been riding this mountain since i was a kid, and the mountain is still not getting old. the snow varies greatly there, some days it can be wet(we call it the sierra cement) and other days it seriously rivals utah pow days. For example, this weekend, i was skiing waist deep pow and it still felt like i was on a groomed run. it was awsome.true the lodging and the ammenities are old and decrepid, but shavers only 20 minutes away with great bars and good family spots. the summit is a great place to learn, but dont go your first time ona snow day, it sucks
