New and improved village is not an improvement. Most shop spaces have no tenants. No place to eat. Only three restaurants and one of them doesn't open until 2pm. If you do not wish to pay a fortune for parking in what used to be the free lot, you must take a crowded shuttle bus. They literally pack in about 50 people with all of their gear and many standing. Lift lines are longer than ever with no regulation from staff. Longest lines are for any type of food or beverage, though. If you do not buy Club Vertical, forget it. Change the name to Flatstar or Northstairs. Either would be more correct.

The Best snowboarding terrain in Tahoe definetely, the parks are totally sick, so if you are a snowboarder that's the place to be, it does get real crowded on weekends, that sucks, the parking lot isn't really good but tip the parking guys and they'll hook you up with a nice spot, good enviroment, great services it's the 3rd biggest resort in Tahoe and the best one for the boarders. That's where i am going to buy a season pass this year

I GET A SEASON'S PASS HERE EVERY YEAR, BUT ONLY BECAUSE IT IS SO CHEAP, AND IT IS THE CLOSEST RESORT TO WHERE I LIVE. THE CROWDS HERE ARE INSANE ! ESPECIALLY ON THE WEEKEND. AND THE PLACE IS NICKNAMED "NORTHSTAIRS", YOU GO UP AND DOWN FLIGHTS OF STAIRS JUST TO GET TO THE LIFTS. GET THERE EARLY OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT IN A HUGE LINE TO BUY A TICKET. AND, IF YOU HAVE A NICE PAINT JOB ON YOUR VEHICLE, DON'T GO THERE, THE LOT ATTENDANTS PACK PEOPLE IN TOO CLOSE AND YOU ARE GUARANTEED A SCRATCH FROM THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU. NOT TO MENTION THAT THEY DON'T GET A WHOLE LOT OF SNOW THERE EITHER. NORTHSTAR KINDA SUCKS !

TOO MANY CROWDS!! Even midweek can draw huge crowds. They, along with Sierra-at-Tahoe, virtually GIVE their season passes away. For that reason, I may spend one of my 20+ days at Northstar in a season. I wouldn't be too disappointed if I didn't get that one day in there either...usually a friend drags me there. On the positive side, I love the terrain. Good expert runs, good tree riding. The last time I was there, a big cluster of advanced terrain was accessible only via a tow rope. If that's changed, great. Otherwise, I like to save my energy for the riding. Speaking of saving energy, plan for a long walk from the car to the lift. Requiring a gondola ride from the village to the lifts is another drag. Just another bottleneck for the crowd flow. Overall, I'd rather go almost anywhere else but Northstar and Sierra-at-Tahoe. Might try to sneak there on a Wednesday, but I'm not too optimistic.
