Took my group of 36 Chicopee Ski Friends to Panorama this year in early February and had a great time overall. Snow conditions were excellent with a little fresh snow every night. We skied for 6 days and found new challenges every day. Terrain is definitely varied and offers something for everyone. Definitely a "hidden gem" and I don't know why people complain about how far it is from Calgary. Look at the lift lines at the Banff area mountains and be glad you are in Panorama. Apres ski is somewhat limited if you are into night life. Skican organized the trip for my group and as always things were very well organized. Intrawest accomodation was very nice and convenient ski in ski out! Staff in all aspects of the operation were well mannered and pleasant! Great place for a group or family who want to ski and not fight crowds! Ozzie Bell Chicopee Ski Friends

Worst place I have ever snowboarded at and they charge Whistler prices. Totally Overpriced..
Bumps as they call them are 4 foot high moguls, mountain was poorly groomed, and the runs that were groomed had rocks throughout, large lift lines.
Said that it got 13 cm but that was not to be seen.

My buddy and I went because its the only place that I could get for a banked timeshare, what a great suprise. Driving in the long desolate road my friend said "what have you done?" I was a little aprehensive myself till we arrived at the quaint village. The skiing was great the people and the staff were also great.
Upsides: I can't speak to other years but the snow was great last year. There were no crowds, and except for the last lift to the top the high speed quads allow you to get alot of runs in It was so uncrowded that many times we were the only two on a particular slope, we even rescued two girls during a very foggy day who had not seen anyone in an hour and could not find their way down. My last day my buddy quit early and I took one run (Cliff glade) that I was definitely the only on on for hours. Cliff glade=cliff with trees, duh-> me, beware! The lodging is all basically slopeside and very convenint, decent restaraunts, and ok nightlife but it tends to mostly be the workers or the people your with. Close enough to kicking horse, Fernie etc for day trips. Not to far from invemenre or hot spriongs either. Even without the timeshare I got you can get a great deal to go there
Downsides: Since is isolated the nightlife tends to be the mountain workers their friends and you. Great cruisers, decent tree skiing, but no high alpine or open bowls (take the trip to kicking horse for that but be prepared it is scary) Far from calgary but the drive during the day is breathtaking.
Overall: I very highly recommend you spending at least a few days here, unless killer clubs, bars restraunts and high alpine are high on your list.
