Yes, Grouse doesn't often get fabulous snow. What do you expect?! However, it has LOTS of snow, the runs are great for beginner to high intermediates, it's close for Vancouverites (of course us NVanners really have it made) and it has fabulous views. The Y2Play passes are a great deal especially for youngsters but also for adults - especially if you also visit another mountain on the Mountain Interchange Program for 25-50% discounts! I wouldn't rate it as a destination mountain for skiing but it's great for locals and visitors looking for one day for skiing, view, other sport activities and general experience.

I can't believe people rate Grouse so highly on this site. The mountain is very small, the snow is unbelievably inconsistant, with most of the precipitation being rain even at the peak. If the snow is good, the mountain is OK, but the snow is rarely good. Grouse has got to have some of the worst skiing in BC. Non-skiing activities are decent I guess (they have a skating rink and other family-oriented things), the view of Vancouver is quite nice, and staff are friendly, but it simply does not make up for the horrible skiing. Only worth it for those who live within a few minutes drive of the mountain and get the very cheap y2play pass.
