A great hill that seems to be forgotten. The access road is long and poor, but no lines or crowds. They keep the road plowed, but a 4x4 or winter tires are a great idea. The black trails are steep, and anyone can find challenge at this hill. Easy to find tree skiing, as some trails need to be re-cut. There are lots of paths through the forest and a bowl on the backside of the 1000 foot hill. It requires hiking back up if you want. The front side has trails for everyone, the snow is usualy very good, and fresh tracks all day are not out of the question when less than 100 people show up. And the place is only open on weekends, so fresh snow on saturday is likely. People are friendly and the skiing is cheap. Silver summit is definitly worth the trip out from Edmonton! I am so surprised that more people don't go here. Ride time on the double chair is about 10 mins. It takes 4-10 mins to get down, depending on the route and speed. A hidden secret!
