Great skiing, great people. Just be aware as low intermediates we found the gradings for this resort somewhat underestimated. Also many of the green runs have narrow sections where it can be difficult to turn. Great for the intermediates & above but restricted for those of us not quite so good.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE "SKI MOUNTAIN". THE MOUNTAIN HAS TERRAIN FOR ALL. BEGGINERS CAN SKI FROM 3 OF THE TOP LIFTS. SMALL CROWDS AND 4200 ACRES MEANS YOU HAVE RUNS ALL TO YOURSELF. THE MOUTAIN HAS A NICE FALL LINE. RUNS ARE LONG, AND VERY WIDE. THE BOWL ON THE BACKSIDE IS HUGE, AND THE VIEWS FROM EACH LIFT ARE MAGNIFICENT. EACH TIME YOU GET OFF THE LIFT IT SEEMS SOMEONE IS TAKING PICTURES. EACH LIFT HAS AN INCREDIBLE VIEW THAT IS UNLIKE THE OTHERS. REGULAR PRICE LIFT TICKETS WERE ABOUT $64 U.S.
THE DRAWBACK IS THAT LOUISE IS NOT A "SKI RESORT TOWN". STAY IN BANFF (WHICH IS A CROSS BETWEEN JH AND SV). IN BANFF YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED, AND CAN GET TO LOUISE BY INTERSTATE (MAYBE 45 MINS).
CANMORE IS 15 MINUTES FARTHER AWAY, AND A LITTLE MORE LAID BACK.
IF YOU SNOWMOBILE, THEN CALL TOBEY CREEK OUTFITTERS, THE EXPERIENCE IS AWESOME, MACHINES ARE NEW AND DON'T HAVE GOVENORS LIKE THE ONES YOU RIDE AT YELLOWSTONE.

Lake Louise is an awesome mountain. The bowls on the back side are incredible and the runs on the front are great as well. No lift lines and very little flat terrain meant I was skiing nonstop, and enjoying every minute of it.

Wow, this place is beautiful and what a huge mountain. Great lifts, service and not an arm and a leg. I love this place!

Bar none the best scenery of any ski resort in North America!! Our group also skied into Skoki Lodge and what a truly amazing experience! Skoki is North America's first backcountry lodge built in 1931 and recently restored to historic standards of that era- what a special treat. Looking for a special place with history, mountain scenery and huge terrain then this is it!
