Join us for a unique Alpine dining experience in the heart of Deer Valley. Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., Fireside Dining at Empire Canyon Lodge features three courses served from our grand fireplaces.

Visit one fireplace to find our first course of warm raclette cheese accompanied by steamed new potatoes, pearl onions, cornichons, cured Italian and Swiss meats and freshly baked baguettes.

Continue to the next fireplace for simmering stews or fricassés with hearty alpine ingredients such as veal, lamb, chicken, wild mushrooms, leeks, roasted tomatoes, root vegetables and lots of fresh herbs. Served with these are our hand-grated, crisp, buttery potato rösti - a Swiss staple. Here, also find our field green salad tossed with a champagne shallot vinaigrette and served with homemade ciabatta bread.

Another fireplace serves fire-roasted meats; leg of lamb, pork or venison roasted slowly by the fire, brushed with fresh herbs and seasoning, accompanied by Cambozola leek dutch oven potatoes.

At our dessert fireplace, tempt yourself with chocolate, caramel and white chocolate Grand Marnier fondues. Dipping choices include strawberries, bananas, apples, dried apricots, cinnamon pound cake and almond biscotti. A full bar and a fine selection of wines are available as well as specially selected wines and imported beers to complement each course.

Consider a moonlit or snowy ride on a horse-drawn sleigh, available for hire throughout dinner just outside the door of the Lodge.

Access the Empire Canyon Lodge easily by car via the Guardsman Pass road. Reservations are suggested. Free parking is available.
