Great Food and Drink Await You After a Long Day on the Mountain

The Willowtree Inn, occupies a renovated house, lately the home of former Monroe County Prothonotary Jean Farry, hard by the north bank of McMichael's Creek off Ann Street in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The immediate neighborhood is historical, and in recent years, has experienced a renaissance of sorts due, principally, to the installation there of a railroad station (New York, Susquehanna & Western) - museum of the Monroe County Historical Association within a small park put just where the Creek cascades over the "Fifth Street Dam" into a race which serviced Stroudsburg's turn-of-the-century tanneries and woolen mills.

Against this background, and not in the least either because of its very fine menu, The Willowtree Inn has prospered. It is an established haven and watering-hole for many upstanding members of the Monroe County Business Community. The tables in its rear dining room, all of which command a panorama of the creek dominated by a magnificent weeping willow tree, from which its name derives, are sought after.

The present owner, George Nunn and his wife Kat, have presided over many improvements including the outside decks, private meeting room, handicap access, bar area and parking lot since he became owner of The Willowtree Inn Corporation in 1988. They acquired the business in 1990 from their associate Tom Luzzi, a prominent area developer, who transformed the Farry Homestead into the ambient surroundings which you now enjoy. George himself owns the building, the land, and, hence, the tree.
