The Full Moon - Steakhouse and Catering is owned and operated by Brian and Sue Ahern. The couple met at culinary school in Philadelphia and relocated to the Sun Valley Idaho area in 1990. Full Moon evolved through the many requests from those in the community who were familiar with the talents of these two.As the business grew, the need for a kitchen of their own became apparent... and so the Full Moon Steakhouse was established in 1997. During the last eight years, both businesses have grown by leaps and bounds. The Steakhouse serves regulars who come in for dinner weekly and newcomers who have heard how wonderful the restaurant is and have decided they can't wait any longer to try it. These newcomers then get added to the "regulars list!"

The menu offers a wide variety of dining options. There are those delicious crab cakes as an appetizer. Try the grilled artichoke with a lemon aioli for dipping. There is a great selection of salads - caesar, house, spinach, chef and of course the popular full moon salad with greens, slivered red onion, candied almonds all tossed in a champagne vinaigerette.

Fresh fish is on the specials list every day, maybe grilled or sauteed or encrusted with nuts oe sesame seeds and always served with a flavorful, delicious sauce. It wouldn't be a steakhouse without great prime rib, sirloins, new yorks and rib eyes -all grilled to perfection. Of course there's several pasta choices, chicken entrees and yummy sandwiches.

Did someone mention dessert?? All of the ice cream is homemade as are all of the desserts. Try a fugdie brownie with homemade ice cream and chocolate sauce, or the creamiest creme brulee - the choices are always changing and are always delicious. The wine list offers a great selction of choices in every price range.

The atmosphere is so cozy, warm and welcoming. It's also a great place for the kids. The kids menu includes all time favorites and every kids meal is served with moon and star finger jello. The kids are greeted with goldfish and sippee cups and the bag of toys appears when the little ones get antsy.
