Worldclass Food and Wine in a Rustic Setting

The restaurant is open most of the year for dinner and serves lunch in the winter. The dog sled rides begin in late November and run through April. Reservations are recommended for the restaurant and required for the dog sled rides. You can make dinner, lunch or sled ride reservations online by entering our site.

The Setting
The log building that houses the restaurant is rustic and homespun. Large picture windows in the dining room allow luncheon guests to enjoy the magnificent views of Mt. Daly and Capitol Peak. Also, you will be able to see sled teams coming and going. At night, the focal point is the sunken fire pit where guests can relax and enjoy the ambience of the restaurant.

The Fare
Our house specialties are Krabloonik Wild Mushroom Soup, freshly baked breads, homemade preserves, and smoked meats from our smokehouse. Caribou, Elk, Pheasant, Wild Boar, Salmon & Trout (upon availability, of course). Desserts are also prepared daily in our kitchen. Our Wild Mushroom Soup and homemade preserves are now available to purchase. You can take them with you or arrange for us to ship to any address.

Located just minutes from Aspen on the slopes of the Snowmass Ski Area, Krabloonik offers worldclass food and wine in a rustic setting. Over 200 sled dogs live in the kennel adjacent to the restaurant and provide the pulling power for dog sled rides through the wilderness area.

For those of you skiing, our restaurant is accessible by Dawdler Catwalk through Campground parking lot from chairlifts two, three and five. By car, you can use the Campground/Divide Parking Lot road.

Went to Snowmass recently and had lunch here, limited menu but what was there was very good. I had the buffalo burger and it was great, though no mustard was available. My companions had the wild boar dishes and each one was good. Be sure to check out the puppies and sled dogs, they are a hoot.
