I won a free week of skiing and lessons here a few years back (ok about 20 years ago) Learned to ski here. Had a lesson every day and by the end of the week, I was skiing black diamonds like they were the easy ones. Had a blast and go there every chance I get.

I don't know why so many people hate this mountain. The terrain park is AMAZING. I spent hours there on the day I was on the mountain.I came to mount snow a day after there was rain and sleet in mid-march, and there was very little ice there. Mount snow is heaven for intermediate skiers, since there is a lot of blues. But if you love blacks and hate terrain parks, go to some other mountain like Berkshire east in MA if you live south of Vermont. there were no crowds probably due to the fact that is was a Tuesday.
And about the prices, Mount snow has cheaper lift tickets than the most of the mountains its size in Vermont. That's 7 bucks less than Killington and Sugarbush and 9 less than Stowe. Why is everyone complaining about expensive lift tickets? The only con is that there are a lot of employees who don't speak good English, so there might be some communication problems

Most overrated mountain in the North East...Really only has a few steep trails which are glare ice 75 percent of the year...The rest of the mountain is long and flat...Windy and ice cold in the winter....However, M.S. does have one of the best terrain parks on the East Coast....If you like big jibs then this is your place....But honestly....Go to Stratton or Killington if you are going to spend this type of money...At least there you will get for what you pay for
