Terry Peak is a really fun place to visit I used to go once a year when I was living in Nebraska. I have been there about 4 times and the weather has been amazing every time. Crowds did seem to be big when I went but unlike Colorado or NorCal this place does not really have to compete with other resorts so everyone in the area comes here. They have a great terrain park with a half pipe which I wasn't expecting. The high speed quads that get you back on the snow in hurry are great. They don't have a ton of terrain or snow but not bad for the black hills. If you go I recommended staying in Deadwood, its a fun historic old west type of town.
