Bear Creek has come a long way from Doe Mountain. The facilities are the best in PA. LOVE the cozy bar. Yes it's a small mountain but the terrain park has plenty of stuff to keep kids busy. But i swear they make ice instead of snow there. I always feel uneasy riding down because the ice is so hard and slick, do they ever groom??? It's also a shame they ruined Timberline trail, it used to be narrow and intimate with the trees. Now its super wide. I wish they would re-open the "love shack" at the top along Broadway/Timberline for hot drinks and snacks.

Listen, this is my local hill, so I can't trash it. Great place to take beginners and the parks are the best in the poconos. That being said, its terribly overpriced. Plus, the claim that they receive 100 inches a year is laughable. Maybe 20-30? They have a solid snowmaking system that they're aggressive with, and the customer service is strong. BEAUTIFUL facilities...I'm getting married here in the fall, and the hotel, ballrooms, lodge, restaurant, spa...all of it is truly spectacular. Just keep the actual skiing/snowboarding expectations in check

Great local day trip resort, a bit small for me, but just right for my wife and kids, as we have a wide variety of abilities. Resort is small enough to allow my kids some independence and they can work on the blues and bottoms of blacks. Timberline allows all of us to ski together and challenges my advanced beginners. Mid week crowds are nonexistant, arrive when they open and hardly anyone around.
Great place to take a day off midweek and ski a little with the family and actually relax and enjoy.
