I'm a long time skiier on Mt. Hood and "The Bowl" is defintely the best place on the mountain to get a well rounded experience. The big news (aside from all the new condos and growth in the Government Camp area) is that a tram is coming to connect Skibowl and Timberline. The scuttlebut is that a tram will be built in the next few years to create a comprehensive Mt. Hood experience. Being able to buy a ticket that will allow you to ski Timberline and Skibowl will open up the mountain (as well as Timberline's plan to add new runs to the west of their existing boundaries) and make Mt. Hood a little more of a world class ski destination. Who knows- maybe Meadows will be invited to join the party and we'll be able to ski the whole mountain from one convienient base lodge area. Dare to dream!
