The best mountain in Ohio! Unfortunately, the best of Ohio is nothing more than a well inhabited hill. The line are long, the population is filled with annoying pre-teens, and the snow is less than appealing. However, with all that said, this is still the best hill to ride without driving 6 hours to snowshoe/valley/springs. They really do make the most of this hill, and last year (2010) they mapped out their trails to be a little more friendly for new vs intermediate riders. Overall, a fun trip for 1 night of 3 minutes runs down a hill.

Listen, this is a good "hill" for Ohio, but really, it is not that great. Compared to other Ohio places, it is the best, but that's not saying much. However, if you are going to ski in Ohio definitely go here. I have been here several times, and I get bored in a couple hours. Mad River is very dedicated to making sure there is snow, however, and they make it constantly! It usually is pretty crowded with pretty long lines, which is because it takes 1 or 2 minutes to get down the "hill."
