Excellent skiing in Western New York. Challenging slopes with over 56 runs. Cindy's run, Sunrise, Champaign and the Falcon area are fun. Need a couple of days. Smaller crowds on Sunday and during week. The resort has excellent services and 1 mile from downtown Ellicottville. Fantastic shops and restaurants. Great mountain biking in the summer too. We have been skiing and mountain biking here for years and rent Wildflower unit 55. Close to resort, close to town and great accomodations.

HV is the best resort in the WORLD. It is descent size with 56 slopes and 13 lifts. Soon the new Morning Star hi-speed quad chairlift will be completed. my favorite slope is Mardi Gras and I would HIGHLY recommend it. The cafe in the main chalet has the best muffins.

It is a good mountain for New York. I had fun and would recommend spending a weekend there. Also, it's pretty big for a east coast place. The runs are fun and the lifts are nice.
