If you're stranded in New Brunswick for a couple of years as I was recently, Mont Farlagne is a wee oasis for winter fun. Low (175m) in elevation, the hill nonetheless offers up some good cruisers and a handful of decent blue and barely-black diamonds where you can let 'er rip. Pentapic is the best of these, and the drop off in the far trees of Sous-Bois 1 is not to be taken lightly.

While Mont Farlagne's runs are short, you'll get in lots of laps per hour. I had season passes here for two winters and never experiencd any lineups of real note. Demos days are a regular occurrence and major companies like Burton drop by.

Toughened by Maritime weather conditions, the hill has been known to stay open even when the roads in are barely passable.
The hills friendly Francophone atmosphere will make you fell welcome and unhurried. Good snow conditions and plenty of the white stuff annually (this is New Brunswick!) and there's night skiing to boot.

Overall, Mont Farlagne gets my approval. Less crowded than either Crabbe or Poley Mountain and the only hill in N.B. located just off the Trans Canada Highway. In my opinion the best Canuck resort east of Quebec other than Newfoundland's Marble Mountain.
