Grew up skiing at Pomerelle as a kid. Great place to learn how to ski with the wide open runs such as Milk. Also a great place to gain the skills to take on the tougher runs on the intermediate runs such as Instrutor (my favorite) and Punch Bowl. Spent many evenings with my father night skiing and are some of my most fond memories spent with him.

I have skiied many places in the Northwest and although they might have more terrain, bigger variety and difficulty of runs, as I get older I find myself coming back to Pomerelle to ski. I really enjoy the relaxed, wide open areas to ski. Have also brought my kids to ski here and they too consider it one of their favorite places to ski. We try to visit the resort several times each year. I wish I lived closer to take advantage of the night skiing, like I did as a kid.

If you're looking for a relaxing drive to/from the resort, some great cruiser skiing, and the best snow in the entire state of Idaho, then this is the place. The lodge has all that you need with great food, good rental shops, and all the basics you would need. Besides, you're there to Ski, not show off your designer Ski Outfit! Leave that for Deer Valley or Sun Valley.
