We've been going to SolVista for years and we love it more and more every time we go. The atmosphere is so friendly and cozy and the trails are always impeccably groomed. Trust-worthy staff make you feel safe and welcome. My kids love it, and cry the day we leave. Just got back from our family's annual SolVista visit, and there are some stunning residences that have been built in the area. We're going back this summer to find a place to maybe purchase. Golf and fishing are my husband's favorite, and summers there must be beautiful! Apparently there are some amazing bike trails there in the summer too.

Sol Vista is a great place for adult beginners and families with younger children (teenagers will get really bored here quick. although Winter Park is an easy drive). If you have a mixed party, some needing more challenges, some beginners, come here and let the advanced skiers go to Winter Park for a couple days.
Nice people, no crowds, few idiots making it miserable for everyone else. Good ski school. Great for building confidence. If you like a quiet vacation you can stay in a ski in/ski out condo and get in a good workout before lunch before maybe heading down the road for a half day of harder stuff. Not a lot of other activities right there so again, teenagers are best kept somewhere else.
